The players in this level are from 7th and 8th grade. Ball handling skills are still developing for passing and setting. Some of the players are still serving underhand, however they are encouraged to serve over-hand. For some of the players, this is their first experience with competitive volleyball. The coaches teach the basic volleyball strategies to help advance the players to the next level of competition. Team selections are made with the intent of having all teams equally skilled. The season is concluded with an ALL STAR match to showcase the skills the players learned throughout the season.
